Hard to get thru the winter without gardening in zone 5; Trying to be productive, getting ready to start my seeds soon. Zone 5 is a killer waiting for the hard freeze days to end. Even in May we get freezes after May 15th. Even though I think I'm ready for start-up time, usually the rain will delay it. Since I can't control when the soil dries out, I start with the containers. Every year its a surprise when gardening can finally commence.
