logging in everytime
For some reason during the last few weeks I have to constantly log back in to post any msgs. I went back into my profile and re-entered everything plus all my answered msgs are going to my Deleted Items in my Outlook express. Can I somehow correct this?

When you get the log-in screen, there should be a little box right above the sign-in button that says "check here and we'll sign you in automatically next time". Have you tried that?

yes and it's always checked but my e-mail and login password is always blank and I have to retype it in.

That (re-logging in) happens to me but it's dependent on the security settings of the particular computer or network I happen to be using and doesn't have anything to do with the Taunton site. I don't use Outlook so I don't know anything about that part.

I used to be fine when I was at work, I haven't logged in from work lately cause it's been fairly crazy there.

I'm just wondering whether there is some way that I can start all over with the log in. I tried going back in and retyping everything but the msgs are still showing up in my deleted items and the I still have to log in again.

I just looked you up in the Members admin and was told that you aren't a member of Over the Fence now. Did you cancel so you could start afresh?

I think I'm existing only in my mind! I just tried to re-create an account and it read that my e-mail already exists, and to just log in, which I did and ended up on the Taunton page and not the FG page.
This is starting to annoy me!

I've also noticed that once I have to re-log in, all the msgs that I've already read become posted from the beginning again. The box reads 'All' instead of unread msgs. So then I have to start at the beginning of the threads or click forward to figure out where I last was.

I sympathize with your frustration, but I can't offer much help at the moment. (and I know I haven't offered much help previously, either.) I won't be at work until after the Fourth of July weekend. the only thing I can think of right now is that when you joined the site, you did so under a different email/password combination, one that works automatically from work but not from your home computer. Perhaps you can get to the site at work, open your preferences, and change your email/password combo there, then write it down, take it home, and try that. (You wouldn't believe all the little notes I've written for myself at work. Just to do my job requires maybe a dozen different combos, and some of them have to be changed every few months!).

I have to manually log in at work because of the way the system is set up. I have used the same e-mail and log in password for the last 8 years so this is very mysterious to me!
The only other thing that I'm thinking is that this may have something to do with my cookies. I have checked the system and I have allowed cookies as well as third party cookies. Could this be a reason?
If this isn't the problem I will have to contact sympatico, I know that they have made some big changes over the last few weeks and tho they said nothing should change from our end it may have something to do with this!
