Mother's Day Gift
Hello! I am PatriciaMae from Trenton , Fl. Yesterday I received a homemade (homeplanted) herb dish from my son and DIL. It contains Lemon Baum, Oregano, Bay Leaf, Parsley. I think that's it. They started it and had it in their greenhouse. Do they all need the same amount of water? Is there a place I can look on line to see how to propagate? I would like to move them from the round planter to a long planter I have free. Are any of them happier to be moved than others? Thanks! Pat

Your herbs should all transplant relatively easy and they will all do well in full sun. Be a little carefull with the parsley when transplanting because it has a taproot so try not to pull the bottom of the root off. If it is still fairly small it should transplant well. A moderate amount of water will do well for all of them. Lemon balm can get fairly aggressive so may want more than its fair share of the planter, so give it enough room.

When the lemon balm blooms (tiny white blooms), cut it back right away. Don't let it go to seed, or you'll have ten thousand of them.

Thank you!! That made me smile although I know that is exactly true. I found a cholcolate Mint which is lovely but it is growing like crazy so I am sharing (very easy to propogate). Have a good day. Pat
