Trying out chervil in my garden. Are there suggestions for how best to grow? Currently..... after weeks of rain upon rain.... it's up a couple of inches, smells wonderful. Does it need thinning?

"weeks of rain" is an understatement. Things are pretty cool and soggy here in Connecticut as well.
