Winter photos
Thought I would post a couple of photos I just loaded on to my computer. The first is actually from the fall, a couple of mums that I won at the garden center open house, backed by an evil invasive plant that I love (houttuynia), particularly in the fall. It's not really invasive for me but is in many places. The second photo is a patio pot I filled with winter greenery and is the focal point out my kitchen window. Gatsby is lounging in front.
Sorry, they are posted in reverse.

Wow! Gats looks almost just like my Wickett. This is a pic when she was younger, before her full coat came in.

That's the first pic I've posted with my new laptop. It's a little giant.

There is something I don't understand here. Under your photo it says 114KB, and under mine it says 117KB, but yours came in on my screen about three times the size of my photo, so large I had to scroll down and across to see it all. I thought KB referred to the size of the photo. Is your computer a mac?
Yes, the kitties do look a lot alike. Gatsby has the fluffiest tail I have ever seen on a cat, the fur must be at least 2 inches long. He is also very mellow and laid-back, but has dh trained to do whatever Gatsby wants, like feeding him treats when we are eating. It's his eyes that do it.

I don't know why that it about the pic size - it surprised me, too. Yes, I'm on a mac.
Wickie has a nice plume, too. Gats has a little more black than her, but their faces and coats are really close. They could be littermates!

KB refers to the file size, not the photo size. Other factors contributing to differences in file size for a given image size are the level of detail/complexity of the image, resolution (dpi), and file compression.

Well, that one was too darn big. It's likely that I had cropped the original pic. I know that can affect how big something shows up.

BeeJay mentioned a tidbit that has helped me immensely on viewing photos. If you right click on the attachment and choose the option Open in New Window, after it loads the picture, it will size it properly for your PC, so you don't have to scroll to see the whole image. It works great. Of course this doesn't help with the time required to download those 2 or 3 MB files that some people post. I've pretty much given up on looking at them.

Yeah, we don't have the right click option on macs. For all the not crashing and lack of viruses, there are some trade-offs.

Try clicking while pressing the apple key.

I don't have an apple key.

Really? I thought they were on all of them (not that I know much about it). I might be using the wrong name for it. Mine is down near the fn/ctrl/option keys. It also has a symbol on it that looks like an X made of 5 circles.

I tried clicking while pressing the apple key, but it did not change the size of the picture. That was actually the first time I ever used that key. What exactly is it supposed to do?
