Please help identify this plant (post #16046)
MaineQuaker on Sat, 01/02/2010 - 18:09
I have been searching for over a year, asking anyone I could, what this plant is. It is perennial, growing 3-4 feet high. Foliage is similar to garden phlox, but the flowers resemble small, 1 1/2 inch, orchids. Can anyone help identify it, please?

It's an Impatiens but I'm not (post #16046, reply #1 of 3)
It's an Impatiens but I'm not sure which species, maybe I. delavayi or I. glandulifera. You can look through the photos here ( http://www.plantsystematics.org/taxpage/0/0/79/genus/Impatiens.html ) and see if you can confirm an identification.
