I was in Indianapolis in early October and came across this flowering plant in an established garden.  Other colors were white or purple. Situated in full sun.  Can someone identify?  I live in the metro Detroit area, would this plant be appropriate for that planting zone?    Thanks.

That is a Lisianthus. They do come in multiple colors. They are annuals I believe in your zone. They tend to be a bit fussy.
