Testing Posting Photos

This is the first time I've tried posting photos since 'the change' and thought I would try out the process so I can give feedback. We've had Painted Bunting in the garden and I had never seen a Male Painted Bunting and was amazed at his colors. I know these are bird photos, but you can now SEE the birdbath b/c we cut (hacked) back the porterweed which was well over 5 ft. tall. Now I know that I have to keep the porterweed in check. The other two photos are just ones that I thought were amusing. Our neighbors have the pelican statue and the iguana appears to be telling him a secret.

Great photos. I can't believe (post #15936, reply #1 of 4)

Great photos. I can't believe you really have that bird in your back yard.

Are the iguanas much of a problem for you?

Thanks. I was SO excited (post #15936, reply #2 of 4)

Thanks. I was SO excited when I first saw the Painted Bunting. He doesn't look real.

We do have quite a few iguanas but I don't mind them. I think the little ones are kind of cute. They eat the bougainvillea but it grows like such a weed that I don't really notice. I consider it pruning. They also eat the flowers off the Cape Honeysuckle which I mind a bit more b/c I like the look of the flowers and those flowers attract the Spot-breasted Oriole and the occasional hummingbird.

I'm glad that you enjoyed the photos. The Painted Bunting is only here for the winter (snow bird?) but we'll enjoy them until they go back North. They have a limited area where they breed. Okay, enough about birds; this forum is for gardening, right?
