Just moved into a new place.  Discovered this pretty flower growing in my yard. Not sure if its a flower or weed.

It's difficult to say, not knowing where you garden; however, generally I have found that if I see the same plant/flowers all over my yard, it's a weed - or probably will become one.  To be sure, why not let it grow if you like it, but be sure to deadhead it until you know  what it is.  Your local garden center may be able to help.

I'm pretty sure that is a weed you are looking at. I've been trying to eradicate this plant from one of my beds for several years now.

That looks like yellow loosestrife. It can be invasive, but it looks nice.
