Gardeners with tattoos

southernsoil's picture

Just out of curiosity I was wondering how many fellow gardeners have tattoos. I have several, my X is a Tattoo Artist and after 22 yrs of marriage I did not escape bare skinned.
There are orchids on one shoulder, a floral display around a pair of pheasant on the back, a huge chrysanthemum on the butt. Maybe not so huge. And my favorite skull and cross bones on the forearm. In the photo attached my arm is crossed over my dads.

As one of the few other posters here, I feel compelled to respond.

Alas, I have no tattoos, probably because I couldn't make up my mind what I would want.

Thanks for the response (post #16166, reply #2 of 10)

Thanks for the response Steve. Starting to feel like "There's one in every crowd". My skin has become pretty thick over the years and if I got another tattoo it might break the needle. Ha!

My wife is of the opinion that if I am going to get a tattoo, it should be her name, not any stupid flower.

Has Tattoos, will Garden!!! No tats of flowers yet. Tattoos came before Gardening. It is only a matter of time since I have a daughter named Lily that flowers will be added!I am trying to get some info though. Does anyone know how to find out which seeds need to be scarified or stratified. I got some info from the starting from seed magazine but not enough :(

Tattoos (post #16166, reply #10 of 10)

You are one brave person. I have to take Ibuprohphen just to go have a flu shot...ha!

I have had a tattoo around my ankle, but it was with ink...finally faded away. It was fun!

My kitties give me "tattoos" all the time with their sharp claws...they are my garden companions. :)
