Losing the banner head
You can get rid of the big Taunton bannerhead that takes up about a third of your screen by pulling up the forum with the cursor. Place the tip of the arrow just above the "Post New" and drag the post up over the banner head. It's a little hard to find the spot at first but it always gripped me that so much of my screen is wasted on the wide Taunton bannerhead and I have to scroll so much because there is room for only about two posts to show at one time.
The guys over in Knots and Breaktime posted this.

Cool, except then you lose the buttons for going to different forums, accessing the magazines, etc. And, once I moved it up, I couldn't reverse it. Hmmm.

Couldn't move it back? That's kinda odd. I can move mine up or down any time. I'm using IE. Mayby it behaves badly with a different browser.

I'm using IE, also. Marty was right, I pushed it up too far. If I leave some space, then I can drag it back down.
It's a fine line...especially when you can't see it!

I've had that problem in the past too. If you leave just a little of the banner showing it's easier to move back down

It works on all the forums but it is easy on Breaktime. (Well, I don't know about Threads forum. I don't sew much anymore so I don't go there)

The one thing I've noticed is that you have to set it each time you come back after either signing out or shutting down the computer. At least that's the way it is for me.

Right. It just doesn't seem to want to stay lost.
