Cleanup of Pindo (sp?) Palm Date Stains
Out of the blue one day noticed orange splatter stains all over house and fishing boat on dock, like remnants of bug guts splattered on a windshield. Was this a new, Mississippi monster bug that explodes after mating? After 6 months realized they were same color as date fruit on Pindo (sp?) Palms. Then remembered 19 yr old son and friend's backyard turf wars last summer. They will appreciate advice on any cleaning agents they can use to clean up their mess. Turpentine, surprisingly, had no affect. Any advice most appreciated by them. Thanks in advance to those with time to write in.

Welcome to the "Fence" I
Welcome to the "Fence" I think that the clean-up needs grease. Elbow grease. Applied by a 19 YO son. :-)
I suppose that your boat is fiberglass so you don't want a solvent that will damage the polyester resin. I would try water based cleaners first. Perhaps an abrasive like Comet or a mechanics hand cleaner. If you need a solvent type cleaner try orange oil. It is a remarkable solvent but I don't think it will dissolve the polyester.
