hanging a hammock from a palm
Homeowner wants his hammock hung between a king palm and the corner of the house. Palm is about 15 feet high and 9" to 10" in diameter. Roger's Gardens says it should take the strain, but putting a bolt into the trunk is not a good idea, (I'd already figured that out) but they had no suggestion as to what I could use instead of a bolt.
Anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks

There are all kinds of ways (post #16576, reply #1 of 1)
There are all kinds of ways to hang a hammock that don't involve bolts, and the folks over at www.hammockforums.net have a wealth of info to share. Check it out. I know about this site because when I'm not gardening, backpacking is one of my favorite activities. Instead of a tent, I take a hammock and attach it with poly straps that wrap around the trunk.
