Hose Reel Frustration (post #19321)

Has anyone found a hose wrapping reel they can count on? Having gone through at least a dozen different types over the years, at multiple price points, I find they either rust, bend or break. As I'm getting older I need one on wheels that I can manage and would like to find one that will last. Any sugggestions?

Hose Reel Frustration (post #19321, reply #1 of 2)
I have the same complaint. I know there are a few very expensive hose reels on wheels but haven't wanted to spend that much money (although my mother always said you get what you pay for). What I have discovered is that there are frequently hose reels at the swap table at our dump so I just replace my broken one with one that's left at the swap table.

The only hose reel that I have found to be one that I want is a steel frame one that is sold in the spring only at The Home Depot stores. It is a sturdy reel on pneumatic wheels and the reel moves very easily. I am sure over time it will rust, but I have found none better. I do not know the name of the company that makes it, but I see it each spring at the HD store. Good luck.
