lime green plants

I am planning on planting a lime green and purple landscape in front of my house.  It is easy to find the purple plants, but not the lime green.  Any lime green suggestions- especially for bushes or shrubs?  Thanks for your input!

You should have no problem finding Coleus with lime green colors. Ipomoea batatas (Sweet Potato Vine) is as lime green as it gets.

Or try my new favorite from last summer, which self-sows and doesn't seem to like much water: Talinum. The leaves are gorgeous lime green and the plant sends up what look like fronds of pink flowers. There are some lime green hostas which might work -- depending on the water and light level.

Also -- seems to me that there are some barberry bushes out there that are lime in color. Some spireas are also quite lime.

Lime Green Plants (post #10344, reply #5 of 5)

Lime-Green Echinacea

  • The lime-green echinacea flower looks like a lime-green daisy. The flower is also known as the "Green Envy" flower. The flower has a bold-green, cone-shaped center that changes from a bold, darker perimeter to a lighter-green center. The flower has many thin petals, usually 16 to 20, protruding from the center. Each petal is light red or orange near the base, where it attaches to the center of the flower, but becomes a bright lime green near the middle and top. This plant has dark-green leaves that are coarse, and it grows best in full sun with ample water.
