need hollyhock help

The seeds I gathered last year from my own hollyhocks are shooting up after only about 3 days.  The hollyhock seeds I bought from an online individual however, are doing nothing. Because I ordered 200 seeds, I decided to try getting them to germinate 4 different ways. I divided them up and planted some the same way I planted my own, under a light in a jiffy start - nothing! Some I put in a moist white paper towel under the growing light - nothing! Some I put in a moist paper towel in a south side window - nothing! The others I put in a jar of water in the south side window hoping they would sprout - nothing! Please help! These are supposed to be the bright bubblegum pink ones that I've been trying so hard to find.Thanks for your help!
