Watering with condensate
I'm researching "watering with condensate". The practice seems mainstream with large buildings, (over 100K sq ft.) and a "best practice" for new high efficiecy building design. But I can't find a discussion of using air conditioner condensate water to irrigate small residential gardens. I believe a 3 ton AC unit can generate 8-10 gallons of condensate water daily when used regularly in a fairly humid climate. this should be enough to support a single 4X8 raised bed garden for veggies or flowers with only occational supplimental water. Can you tell me who has done this? Thank you.

Irrigation with air conditioner condensate (post #19510, reply #1 of 1)
Alexwhite,
Check out the website: www.airigator.com
You have accurate information regarding output of A/C units. The "rule of thumb" is 3-5 gallons per ton/per day.
Therefore a 3ton unit can produce up to 9-15 gal / day.
The Airigator system includes a 60 gal reservoir and a pump is operated by a float switch, so every three days, there is enough water collected to irrigate most residential drip installations.
If I can assist, don't hesitate to contact me.
