Some of my rhododendren leaves are turning red orange. The new buds are healthy. any Ideas as to why ? earthd

Evergreens shed their leaves bit-by-bit over the whole year - but there are 2 little  'peaks' or spikes in that - and I think the one of those is about a month after they finish flowering.

 

They should be going from green , to either red or orange - then yellow  & then fall-off.
