Anyone with any effective ideas as to how to get rid (permanently) of moles and voles in the lawn?

There are a number of ways to get rid of voles and moles; none of them are permanent. New ones will wonder in from the woods and the fields and neighbors. Trapping, gassing and baits have all proven effective, though some people have more success with one than the other. getting rid of litter and keeping beds cleaned up seems to be one of the most affective strategies for voles.
