native plants

With all the intrest in using native plants, I think Fine Gardening could help out their readers by having a native plant symbol next to the plant names.  I'm thinking of something similar to the invasive plant index you have at the beginning of your magazine that lists the invasive plants and what states they are invasive to, but having a seperate symbol for native plants with the states or areas of the country where they are native.  Such a setup could help educate readers without being too distracting.  When I read some of the spotlights on new plants, sometimes I am left wondering where the plant is from.  Sometimes the author mentions the plant's origin in the text, but sometimes not.  Of course things would get a little tricky with hybrids, but maybe they could count if they were "half" native (one parent is native)
