unknown plant
I recently purchased a plant from a local nursery that came with no description or care instructions. I asked the gentleman with plant knowledge what this plant was. He stated it was native to New York state and it was called a mugwort. However, open researching the type of leaves this plant presents with, it is definitely not a mugwort. The plant has purplish red stalks and main vein into large green leaves. The leaves are large spade shaped with small serated edges. Can anyone give me an idea what this plant may be and what type of conditions are best for it. Thanks

maybe Angelica gigas or Rheum palmatum??
without a pic it's a little difficult to identify. Can you post a pic?

If I can figure out how to post a pic, I will. I'm not very computer literate but I have teenagers! In the meantime, I'll investigate your suggestions and see if either fits. Thanks.

if you have a digital you take the pic then download the pic to your computer. I usually send it to my documents. when you are ready to post, type in your script, then hit attach files, you then hit browse and you search in your documents, by hitting browse and all files. when you find your pic hit upload and when it finishes uploading hit done, the post your msg!
