Bring Rose inside???

I need some help....I am moving and we have a small climbing rose that my wife does not want to leave.....

I took it out of the ground and put it in a pot and thought that I could keep it going all winter as long as it was in the sun and kept watered & warm.....It already did go into hibernation I think because its been real cold out....(I live in Western MA)

This weekend its warm again so I was able to dig it out.....

Will it live inside during the winter until I can transplant it.....The shock alone??!!

I hope I didn't kill it already....

I would appreciate any help....
