"New" Confusion

"New" Confusion (post #16806)

The "new" feature is not functioning accurately at all. For instance, whenI checked in today, the center column said there were three new posts in General Gardening. In actuality there were five. The left column wasn't accurate either. If I check in and the Home Page says there isn't anything new, I'm moving on, and I presume others would too, without clicking on every heading to see if the home page is accurate or not.

I guess I was expecting a response, but I didn't get one. Anyone have an idea why this is happening with the "new" function?

As far as I know (and that isn't very far) "new" is hopelessly screwed up, and there will be no fixing it.

Sorry, but that is as much as I know. And I share your frustration.
