has anyone attempted cement stucco on outside walls? i have a shed that needs a serious injection of charm. I found this article at realtors.com and wondered if any of you with experience can tell me if it looks like a good source:

My house is covered with "stucco", with underlying mesh screen. The application was not done by pros, so it has its charm. However it is decent looking. The one problem I have is along the bottom edge of some areas where the stucco has fallen away from the wall and uncovered the mesh underneath.

If you are thinking of covering a shed with stucco, consider the weight it will add to the shed, it would have to have a very stable base. Also be sure the bottom edges are well protected from soil and dampness or you will eventually have crumbling stucco at the soil level.

I would consider tar paper with shingles over that instead, easier it seems to me.
