Trimming "Heritage" berries (post #19832)

David Handley's recent article on pruning raspberries was very good, but didn't mention a prefered method of trimming "Heritage" berries for late Summer harvest.  I have always cut them to the ground after hard frost..  From his writing I might better  cut them in from mid-winter to early spring.
