Triple grafted Apple tree only fruits on two. (post #19502)

Hi, I have a healthy triple variety semi-dwarf apple tree . It produces Golden Delicious and Granny Smith. The Northern Spy branches have never made blooms (just leaves) . I espaliered the tree and I chose the Northern Spy as the main header.
Does it need a different pollinator. I'm in zone 5 b but as everyone knows the past few years have been unpredictable ,to say the least. Sincerely ,Earthd

triple grafted apple (post #19502, reply #1 of 1)
No pollinator can pollinate without blossoms. Northern spy is a notoriously slow tree to mature and begin blooming, often it takes 12 years, or so. Would this apply to a piece of spy grafted on another variety? It doesn't seem unreasonable. Give it a few years. Good luck!
