Hi All

I'm new here on over the fence.  Tried a message in sandbox and thought I would introduce myself.  I love gardening and working outdoors.  I particularly like the cottage border type of planting as I have a large yard and kind of try to outline and go around the edges.  Hope to hear from some of you and hope you will let me know you got my message.

I'm also very interested in plant propagation and seed saving.

You've already figured out how to "post new." So when you have something you want to ask, click post new, choose "general discussions" and post there. As you read other topics and posts, if you want to jump in, just hit "reply" and chime in.

I am also new to the site, but have been gardening since I was my granddaughters' age of 2.  The thing I like to remind other gardeners about plant propagation is that when catalogs mention that plants "naturalize" or "fill-in" or "spread", believe them!

I had a large area that I rescued from invasives and weed trees about 5 years ago for a native flower garden. So being thrifty I was drawn to the above terms. More for my money right? Plants like rudbeckia (brown-eyed susan) and echanacia (cone flower), both of which I love, will quickly generate new plants beyond the 2-3 feet you may have alotted for them.
