recommended mail order nursery

I thought I saw an email address for recommended mail order plants in a recent issue but cannot find it again. Does anyone have the address?

Thanks

What are you looking for? I don't know if this is what you saw in the magazine, but a lot of people use the ratings on the Garden Watchdog. http://davesgarden.com/products/gwd/

Thanks Karen. What a wonderful resourse. I had no idea. As to your question, I am converting too much turf grass into bedding plant areas a little at a time. So I thought a few reliable catalogs would give me some ideas.

I find the public library to be a great place for that kind of inspiration. They often have a pretty extensive collection of gardening books with photos of entire beds, not just individual plants. That can be a big help in the beginning stages of planning a new area.

Thanks for the Cindi web site. I have removed some grassy areas and will plant some bulbs perhaps with other flowering perennials in the fall. Just wanted a resource to help with plant idea and selections. The first area is 2' X 8' bordered by a sidewalk, a curb and a driveway. A great opportunity to get creative, I thought.

A hellstrip?

I've always wanted to do something with part of mine, but there's a great big Silver Maple there that shouldn't be, and it's now illegal to take it down.  What will you plant there?  Will they need to be steppable?
