C.Grimaldi Brug for hostas?

JohnWW's picture

Since living in Vermont from Ct, I've realized that my Charles Grimaldi Brugmansia is just not happy up here. It puts out tons of flowers at the end of summer just to get bitten by our early frosts. Right now it's vibrant and about 4' tall with I think it has a lot of small buds. It needs a warmer home.

I also have a huge (in about a 3 gallon pot now) "Queen's Tears" that forms such beautiful unique flowers. Again, it needs the proper climate, warm and humid, to bloom and the space to get air and light. My house is just too small to keep it indoors all winter. It is very healthy with long spiky succulent leaves.

I'll be heading down to Newtown Ct thru I91 10/8 if anyone would like to trade Hostas and/or shade plants with me. Though I could use tons more Hostas both solid and variegated.

I'll be able to read and respond to the posts till maybe Sunday. Thanks!! Carol, (John's wife)
