I have 91, 92, 93 and may have 74, will do more hunting later. What kind of day lillies do you have?
I have many smaller varieties. I have Raspberry Pixie (purple), Siloam June Bug (yellow with a maroon eye), John's sweet salmon (pink/salmon), So Lovely (whiteish) also Mini Stella (rebloomer just like big sister, but half the size).I also have a large peach one and a smaller red (Touch of Class(. I also have coreopsis Zegreb and the 12" allium in the picture. I also have some large iris. One is dark purple on the bottom and white on top and one is a wacky blend of purple, rose and yellow- crazy, but beautiful). Let me know what you think
Many thanks

All beautiful and hard to pick from. Which tolerates shade the most and shows up against a dark background?

I would say the yellow and pink ones are best, also maybe the larger peach ones. The white one takes forever to recover and bloom. Although I like it, it's not very strong. As far as shade goes, my daylilies do not do well in shade. They get lanky and don't bloom well.

I bought one years ago called 'Free Spirit' because it was described by the catalog as being very shade tolerant. Great daylily, but danged if I can find a source for you. Btw, it's NOT 'Jedi Free Spirit.' Just 'Free Spirit.'
I'm thinking of getting one call 'Orangeman' (aka 'Orange Man') for the same reason. You don't often come across dl's that are described not just as shade tolerant, but as doing well in shade - these are the only two where I've seen it in print.

I'll look tonight also to see what I have duplicates of. I scored a big stack of really old FG's (and old Horticulture's) at the Landis Arboretum spring plant & book sale, and I have some duplicates.

Thank you so much. I've always wanted to have a complete set. I really do use the older mags. Although I like the internet, there is nothing like sitting in a comfy chair on the front porch and reading. Thanks for your effort.

I know, I love the old ones too. I read them in the winter for my gardening fix. I should post my list of the ones I'm missing too. Good idea!

I have quite a few of the magazines you are looking for, starting in the 40's,lovingly protected with dust jackets. But I also have lots and lots of company coming this week - kids, grandkids, relatives of kids, friends of kids, friends of grandkids, boyfriends of granddaughters, girlfriends of grandsons - and who knows who else - (I think my son walks down the streets of Pennsylvania saying "anyone wanna come to Maine? We're having lobster!"
So - while I have started culling my bookshelves (being a lady of a certain age) and would be glad to share, it may be the end of August before I surface again. If you are then still in need of some magazines, I will be happy to send them to you, and if you still have a piece of that pink daylily, I would be most happy to swap for that. if not - I'll swap for postage.

Thank you for anything you can find. I know summer is such a busy time. We are having company Saturday (BBQ pork loin) and we are going out on a boat Sunday. Enjoy your family and friends. Thanks for your efforts. I will save you a nice piece of the pink.

Thanks for offering your extras. I only have 6 duplicates - 3, 7, 59, 124-126, so, unfortunately, I can't help you. Here are some pic of the daylilies I have to offer. I also have coreopsis Zegreb and a small allium. What would you like?

I love both of the daylilies shown in pictures 65 and 146. Could I please have both of them? If you get carried away, you could add a piece of the small red one. And since I'm shipping your 7 FG's anyway, is there any plant I might have that I could add to the package for you? Thanks!

Deb: Thanks so much for sending the back issues. I will thoroughly enjoy them. I will send you a nice division of all three. I appreciate your offer and ,yes, please send me something that you can spare that is a favorite of yours (if possible). I have quite a collection of plants from friends and even though they have moved away it's nice to have a beautiful remembrance of them in the garden. Thanks again very much." P.S. How can I get them to you?

Hay Deb:
It's cooled off and I will be packing up the three daylilies for you tomorrow and sending them out either tomorrow or Tuesday - I'll see how it goes. It's back to better transplanting and dividing weather! Back to work...

Thanks! I have your FGs in a box. I just need to figure out what else to ship with them. I'll send them soon.

I would love to buy your issues 3 and 7.

As long as people are listing issues they want, I need 2 thru 7. I have all the rest. I would gladly pay for them.
